Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025: What’s On

Last Updated: June 25, 2025

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed is set to be the most spectacular edition yet. This year’s theme, “The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers,” celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, bringing together the legends, innovations, and rivalries that have defined the pinnacle of motorsport.

A monumental F1 celebration

In what will be the biggest ever celebration of Formula 1 ever staged at Goodwood, more than 80 F1 cars will ascend the iconic Hillclimb, representing six distinct eras of the sport.

The main paddock, which has traditionally been the home of the F1 Pit Lane, will be redesigned for the takeover, turning the central area of the festival into a hive of F1 activity.

Attendees will be able to get closer than ever before to their favourite cars and drivers.

The six generations represented are:

The Prologue: Exploring the origins of the Manufacturers’ World Championship (1925–1927) and the European Drivers’ Championship of the 1930s.

The Pioneers: Showcasing early World Championship cars that laid the foundation for the future.

The Innovators: Highlighting groundbreaking designs that kept F1 at the forefront of automotive development.

The Champions: Featuring cars from 34 drivers who have won the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship title.

The Underdogs: Celebrating teams and drivers who defied the odds to achieve remarkable successes.

Current F1 Teams: Continuing to push the boundaries of motorsport, teams including McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, Williams, and Haas will be present at this year’s event.

Among the notable figures attending is 1992 World Champion, Nigel Mansell, who will drive his title-winning Williams FW14B and the Williams FW11. He will be joined fellow World Champions, Alain Prost and Mario Andretti, with many more legendary drivers set to be announced soon.

Beyond F1

While Formula 1 takes centre stage, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will be celebrating motorsport and automotive brands on a global scale, including World Superbikes and Gordon Murray Automotive.

The four-time World Superbike Champion will be back in the saddle of his 1995 Championship-winning Ducati.

Gordon Murray & GMA
