Goodwood Revival 2026: Five things to get excited about

Goodwood Revival returns to the Goodwood Motor Circuit from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September 2026, and this year’s edition is unmistakably Italian.
Celebrations are moulded around a single theme, La Dolce Vita, running through everything from the paddocks to the fashion, adding a unique layer of glamour to the usual mix of world-class historic racing and immersive period style.
With so much on the schedule, here are five things we can’t wait for at this year’s Revival.
1. La Dolce Vita: A very Italian summer at Goodwood
Each year, the Revival builds its atmosphere around a chosen theme, and for 2026 that’s La Dolce Vita, or ‘the sweet life’. Nowhere will this be felt more than at the Turning Circle, reimagined every year to bring the Revival’s theme to life.
The Italian spirit spreads well beyond the Turning Circle too, from a 300-strong parade of vintage Vespas marking the scooter’s 80th anniversary, to the all-Italian Battle of Modena grid in the returning Lavant Cup, where 1950s Ferraris and Maseratis will do battle for the win.
2. Maserati’s centenary
Sitting at the heart of this Italian celebration is Maserati, marking 100 years since the marque’s first victory in Sicily’s legendary Targa Florio. As 2026’s celebrated marque, Maserati will have a major presence across the paddocks, with cars spanning three decades of racing history on display, from the 1930s through to the 1950s.
It’s a story that runs from Sicily’s road race to the Formula 1 grids of the following decades. It won’t just be a static display, either. Many of the historic cars will fire up and take to the Motor Circuit across the weekend, giving visitors the chance to see and hear racing history in full flow.

3. A tribute to Sir Jack Brabham
To this day, Sir Jack Brabham is the only F1 driver to win the World Championship at the wheel of a car that carried his own name. It’s a fitting tribute to who he was at Revival 2026, an engineer as much as a racer, and someone who won not only by driving fast but by building and improving the machinery underneath him.
Brabham’s second title came in 1960, a season in which he took five race wins, including the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, on his way to three championships in total.
4. Button vs Villeneuve
This year’s RAC TT Celebration brings two Formula 1 World Champions together on the same grid, as Jenson Button and Jacques Villeneuve go head-to-head in matching Jaguar E-types.
Button arrives in good form, having taken his first Goodwood win in 2025’s Freddie March Memorial Trophy before following it up with victory in the Phil Hill Cup at the 83rd Members’ Meeting. Villeneuve, meanwhile, was the winner of last year’s RAC TT Celebration.
5. Barry Sheene’s legacy
For the first time, a single celebration has run across all three of Goodwood’s motorsport events in one year, marking 50 years since Barry Sheene’s first World Championship. That tribute comes to a close at the Revival, where a selection of the bikes he raced to victory will be brought together ahead of the trophy that now carries his name.
The Lennox Cup was the race where Sheene took his final competitive win, back at the 2002 Revival. Six months later, following his death, the race was renamed in his memory, becoming the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy we know today.
