SALONE EVENTS FACTORY TOUR AT THE BRAND NEW CATERHAM CARS LTD, DARTFORD X

Join Salone Events for an official factory tour at our partners, Caterham Cars Ltd, brand-new Factory at Dartford X. Just over a year since the original announcement, Caterham Cars are proud to present their new state-of-the-art production facility and headquarters. This site will see production capability grow by 50% over the old factory and provides a great opportunity for us to show you what goes into building a Seven!

With special additions that you’d not see on a normal tour, Salone Events clients will be treated to the below itinerary:

• You will be welcomed in our reception area where our team will provide the all-important tea’s, coffees before we begin.
• Then your experience starts in our driver’s lounge surrounded by Caterham memorabilia. A member of the Caterham team will walk you through a short welcome and some of the safety requirements for the tour.
• Historic moments throughout the company timeline are highlighted as we move past the boardrooms and offices at the start of the tour.
• Our first view of the Factory floor comes from the terrace, as we walk out onto the balcony overlooking production, it’s quite the view!
• The terrace is also the home of some of Caterhams iconic and historic models including James Mays off-road Caterham from the Grand Tour, our R500 which was made Top Gear car of the year in 2008 and the SP300R sports car joint project with Lola.
• We move through our hospitality areas and down onto the factory floor. Now entering a working area you will be walked through production, stopping to look at various cars in build. We will also visit our Engine shop and paint booth areas along with hearing from some of the professionals who bring these cars to life.
• We will have a look at some new chassis coming in to be built, and learn about the fabrication process used during production.
• You will see cars in the current research & development phase in our Engineering and Press division (no photos here please!)
• We will then visit our ‘Parc Ferme’ area, completed cars in a plethora of exciting specs and colours ready to be delivered to their new owners.
• Finally, some photo opportunities on the terrace and with some iconic Sevens before we exit into the fan zone, your chance to pick up some of the new Caterham merchandise range.
