Everything You Need to Know for Your First Visit to the Goodwood Festival of Speed

If you haven’t been to the Goodwood Festival of Speed before, you’re in for one of the most exhilarating experiences in the automotive world.
The iconic event blends the past, present, and future of motoring into four days of adrenaline-fueled excitement and with a little preparation, you can make the most of your visit.
Here’s everything you need to know to maximise your time at the event.
Getting there
Goodwood is well-connected, but planning ahead is key.
By Car: There are designated car parks included in your ticket, and they open daily at 06:30. Follow signs to public car parking when you get close to the site.
By Train: The nearest station is Chichester, and regular shuttle buses, which will take you to the venue, run between 07:00 and 20:00 each day.
By Air: Helicopter packages and private flights are available for VIP attendees. A helicopter arrival is also included as part of our Salone Events Thrill & Indulgence experience.
What to wear and bring
The weather in the UK can be unpredictable, so dress accordingly. Take a look at our handy Festival of Speed packing guide so you can be as prepared as possible.
We also suggest bringing a portable charger, reusable water bottle, and a camera or smartphone to capture the action.
Food and drink
There are a wide variety of food stalls and bars throughout the venue. From artisan coffee and burgers to gourmet street food, there’s something for every taste and budget.
Lines can get long during peak hours, so it’s wise to eat slightly earlier or later in order to avoid the rush.
If you’ve chosen our Thrill & Indulgence package, then outstanding hospitality awaits – from breakfast to a three-course lunch, unlimited drinks, champagne reception and afternoon tea – all to be enjoyed at the heart of the Festival of Speed.
